POEM-2nd
MOTHER’S DAY
CENTRAL IDEA OF MOTHER’S DAY
In this poem “Mother’s Day” is written by Shiv. k. Kumar. In this poem, the poet describes his view about the Mother’s Day which is celebrated all over the word once a year. It is celebrated to honour the mother by showing gratitude for her contribution to the family. The poet says that dedicating a single day in the whole year to one’s mother is of no use. It is nothing but disrespect to the mother. Dedicating to her only one day of the year leaves a question on the rest of 364 days of the year. In fact mother is a blessing for life. She gave us life and brought us in this word. So we owe our whole life to her. Then now can we dedicate her just one day of the year. The poet is against this new tradition. In this poem, he expresses his view in this regard if we want to show our gratitude toward our mother we should not indulge in such useless celebration rather we should honour our mother by serving them.
