Ans. In 3000 years of India history people from all over the world have looted her. They included the Greeks, the Turks, the Moguls, the Portuguese, the British, the French and the Dutch. They all came and looted us. They took over what was ours.

Q2. When, according to Kalam, did India get its first vision Freedom?

Ans. According to Kalam, India got its first vision of Freedom in 1857 when the war of independence was started. They wanted to free their land from the clutches of the British rule.

Ans. Kalam’s second vision for India is development. He wants India to be a developed nation. Our achievements are being globally recognized. Yet we don’t see ourselves as a developed nation.

Ans. For fifty years, India has been a developing nation. Now Kalam wants to see India as a developed nation. Kalam believes that unless India stands up to the world, no one will respect us. That is why he want India to be a strong military and economic power.

Ans. India is number one in milk production and remote sensing satellites in the world.

Ans. India is the second largest producer of wheat and rice.

Q7. How do we behave while in Singapore?

Ans. While we are in Singapore, we don’t litter the roads or eat standing in the stores. We behave there in a very civilized manner. We become very responsible and law-abiding.

Ans. While we are in Dubai, we don’t dare to eat in public during Ramadan. We become very responsible and law-abiding in our behaviour. We don’t dare to do anything that is not acceptable there.

Ans. He told Kalam that in India, rich people’s pets are taken out into the stress to leave their droppings all over the place. And those same people blame the authorities for dirty pavements. In countries like America and Japan, every dog owner has to clean the droppings of his pet. ‘’ Will the Indian citizens do that here?’’ he asked.

Ans. We expect the railway to provide clean bathrooms. But we ourselves never learn the proper use of these bathrooms. We want airlines to provide the best of food and toiletries. But we ourselves don’t hesitate to pilfer at least opportunity.

Ans. We Show great concern about burning social issues. Women, dowry, girl child, etc. are hot subjects for us. We make a show of loud protests in public. But in our own home, we do the reverse. Then we say that the whole system has to be changed.
